Lucie is a police officer who works much more than she should. She picks up extra shifts even though she doesn't need the money. She's been walking the Earth like a sleepless zombie ever since her most recent breakup. She felt as if she had lost her purpose in the world and now had so much free time. So, she suffocated herself with work in hopes of filling the hole in her heart and time.
Instead of helping, it seemed to be making her feel worse. She was running off of coffee and sleepless nights. She needed something else to fill the gap in her life. That's when she came across the idea of taking in a little.
Lucie always felt the need to take care of others, and she loved the idea of having a little. The idea warmed her heart, and she knew that she wanted to do it. There was one big obstacle, though. She didn't know how to get one.
Then she came across this girl named Dixie. she was the cutest little thing on this planet, in Lucies eyes. Lucie could tell from the moment she laid eyes on her that she was a little, and it excited her. She knew that this was her chance and she probably won't get another one like this. Lucie thought of it as destiny.

When she noticed I didn't answer her eyes shined with nervousness. Usually I'd like to see the uneasiness in people but, on her, I'm not so sure I like it. "Why do you need it?" I said, causing her eyes to widen as she quickly averted her eyes to anything else but me. "Well, I might have destroyed a very expensive painting and I kind of need to pay the people back-and before you say anything, it wasn't my fault, it was drunk me fault." I let out a sigh and ran my hand through my hair. Despite being headstrong, rebellious, free-spirited, and a little arrogant - so everything that a soldier shouldn't be - she finds herself in the military, but the hardest part comes only after that. Before she could even realize, someone steals her heart, but unfortunately for her, that someone is her straight best friend who lives in a happy relationship. She has never truly been in love before, and this particular case would be challenging even for someone much more emotionally prepared than her. She has to grow up somehow to handle the unrequited love as an adult should, it's just not clear how she will do that. Losing control
Demi knew what she wanted in life, ambitious and hard-working, all her efforts only paid off. The Gentle Giant
I look down at the frail frame of the girl. I unlatched her cage and nudged her with my foot. It seems cruel, but the other trainers would have done much worse to see her ignoring their commands to rise. "Wake up, you're being moved," I say to her, crouching down and shaking her. She lies unmoving and a heaviness settles in my chest. I move her hair from her face and press my fingers to her neck, trying to find a pulse. I purse my lips, feeling the faint beating of her weak heart. I look at the girl, watching her struggle to push air in and out of her lungs. I can tell she is sick. Do I put her in the truck with the others, or take her to the doctor? The truth is, nothing good awaits her in the truck. The only question is if it is crueler to go put her with the others, unconscious and barely holding on, or to take her to the doctor. I feel sick just thinking about it. She either dies here, or will wish she would have. I can't turn a blind eye to her though, I can't stand and watch as the life leaves her. Perhaps she will be thankful for me saving her life. ---- Hazel. She's a pretty little thing, far too precious and fragile for the life she was born into.
