The Ramirez and Rossi family have been rivals in the mafia business for generations. But with the ever looming threat of a new, strong clan of snow leopard shifters, the heads of both clans decided to put an end to the turf war once and for all.
Gabriella wanted nothing to do with her family. And for a long time, that's the way it was. Her three brothers always seemed to be busy with their own affairs to deal with her, and while she loved her father, she knew the business he was in was no joke. She didn't want to live that life. She didn't want to die like her mother. So Gabriella became fiercely independent. She got a job, went to culinary school and even opened her own bakery. So when her brothers suddenly take interest in hanging out with her, Gabriella is suspicious. Then one day Gabriella's father gives the news that would soon destroy Gabriella's dream of a normal life.
Miguel Rossi was not interested in a relationship, let alone an arranged marriage. But as the eldest son, he understood the ramifications this alliance could have on their family. A connection as strong as a marriage between the Leopard shifter clan and the Jaguar clan would mean an easy time defending their city from other clans. That didn't mean he had to like it. He had an anger in him, and so did his Jaguar. He wouldn't wish that upon anyone, yet when he layed eyes on Gabriella for the first time, he knew she was for him. He didn't deserve her, he knew that. He wasn't the white knight, and he knew she did not want any involvement in this life. Yet when he looked at her, he knew he would never be able to let her go. Everything from his body from his Jaguar, to his very soul called to her.
