Life isn't supposed to be interesting for Brooklyn Parell.

She goes to school, gets decent grades, has a few close friends and doesn't stand out (or like to). She's never been to a party, never had a boyfriend, never had a job... the list goes on and on.

Just as she's spent two years being fed up with her life (and life in general), life decides to throw her an exciting but dangerous curveball by the name of Jay Reeds.

Now she has to deal with her new love life, competing drug gangs and normal life problems on top of it all.

Brooklyn soon learns that life doesn't care about the timing of things. Life's timing sucks... but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes, patience pays out big time in the form of new relationships and personal growth. Sometimes, timing is everything.

**PG-13 for language and violence**

Finding the Pure Note by EffervescentElixir
40 parts Complete Mature
'When your breath becomes faint When your heart seems but quaint You'll know that touch of blue lips Upon bottle tips They say love is so pure Yet it isn't the cure For a soul that's lost in your eyes' You've heard it all before. The rebellious teenager who sings in a band and struggles with the woes of teen drama. They fight with their girlfriend and have a spat with their parents, and then it is all wrapped up by the end in a nice little bow. This isn't that kind of story. Clay Hudson is eighteen and is on the right course to go to the university his parents have chosen for him since he emerged from the womb. He has a girlfriend, Kaylee, and somewhere lost in that mix are his best friends: Fletcher who is ready to kick some ass with him, even if Clay is somewhat of a teacher's pet, and Chelsea, who is fighting her own battle, wanting to reclaim the friendship Clay's broken. Clay has pushed them from his life in favour of a night of wild highs and alcohol-fuelled adventures. The thing is, that life is a series of false thrills, and in the end, these adrenaline deceptions are distracting Clay from the things that truly matter in his life. Since he was little, Clay has dreamt of entertaining a crowd, singing his soul's notes to an audience that would love the pure bliss and magic that comes from music. But school is ending soon, his friends are almost lost to him, and Clay realises his life is a fanciful nightmare. With the weight of expectation crushing down on him, his dad's illness, and the feelings he harbours for Fletcher springing forth after a long period of burial, Clay has to cast aside the shackles of his superficial life and rediscover what inspires him in life, and who truly matters. Sounds pretty usual, right? But then again, No one ever said finding balance, the pure note Clay seeks would ever be easy. -Contains coarse language, some sexual content and scenes of an upsetting nature.
The Minor & The Major by thatsilentnerd_
16 parts Ongoing Mature
The story of Chloe McGladdery is anything but a good one. From horrible and traumatic experiences, to loneliness and isolation from the world, she's experienced just about everything, both good (well goodish) and bad. Mostly bad. But there's one thing that Chloe has never had the chance to experience; love. She's never known what it feels like to look at someone and feel like that one person is the reason for your entire existence, to look at someone and feel that only that person can make you feel whole again, stitch you back up again at the broken seams. But that all changes when she transfers to Silverlake High School, home to the Tigers. A place she absolutely dreads. All she wants is to finish high school as quickly and quietly as she can, and finally get out there, into the big wide world where she can show everyone who she really is, the girl she's been hiding from the world for so long. But the one thing she doesn't expect is for people to come along and accomplish that, just way sooner than she originally planned. Chloe's path to greatness and success has definitely not been an easy one, and she's lived through horrors that most people will never experience themselves. But journeys as tough as those are what make people into the best versions of themselves, and her future just became a whole lot more better. She just hasn't realised it yet. * Meet Chloe McGladdery, the most sassy geek you'll ever come across. She chooses to live in the shadows and loves it. And now, meet Kai Thompson, just your typical down-to-earth, sweet, heartbroken guy that Roxy, the school's 'queen-bee' just can't wait to get her hands on. He avoids people, is quite reserved and held-back, and can be pretty sweet when he wants to be. But what happens when a broken guy meets a sassy girl? Well, there's only one way to know the answer to that question.
