The Condemned
"I was still conscious, although I wished I wasn't..." A story of how someone considered as a green-haired freak comes across the only other person he's been able to be friends with, a guy that we actually can't really call human... I finally got to work on my story-idea when I realised I could write while on the train to uni and back home :) So, this is it! It's situated in the 19th century mostly, but it isn't really mentioned in the story itself. I'll probably add my own drawings as a cover (Done!) Feel free to comment your feedback! "In my 19 years of life I never really experienced anything worth telling a story about. Usually when something exciting happened to me, which was rare, I'd sum up the key parts and move on. But then I died, and I finally had a story worth talking about. Anyway, how I died isn't too exciting. Just a basic car accident. You know, icy roads, snow coming down hard, a car slides into your lane and then boom. You're standing in the street watching some guy trying to shake you alive and all you can think is, "Damn, I'm dead." Although, I'm sure you've never experienced that, or else I'd be telling you this story face to face. Anyway, that guy begging me to wake up, he's pretty important, remember him. Darkness. Loneliness. Where am I? A fiery light approached in the distance, but I couldn't tell what it was, or where it was coming from. The ground or sky? It blazed shudderingly and I blinked in fear. I remembered now. . . . Two more lights appeared as tiny dots on the horizon. There was more? What had I done to deserve this? Suddenly I could hear. Comet was mewling again. Was I really asleep? I felt around with my claws for the tiny kit but could feel nothing. She meowed again and I followed the noise, but she wasn't where the noise had come from. . . . Where was she? The light- no the comet, was racing towards me now- faster than ever before. I could hear it's whizzing noise and I screeched. Then I could feel. I could feel as if crashed into me and pulled me into the ground. It pierced my skin, both rubbing and scratching it. Oh the agony. . . . I was soon blinded by pain. I opened my mouth to screech, but dirt and blood entered my mouth and I was forced to cough. Comet was gone. I had failed my mission.
