Lauren meets a woman in Italy. They fall in love but have no hope for Lauren who was undercover in Italy was forced to leave and never saw the woman again. She later was finally able to be Emily Prentiss.

As Emily starts her life over she wishes to find that woman again but can never. As she starts a new job she meets Jennifer. She slowly forget of the woman but as they go on dates memories of her time with the woman in Italy come flooding back.
