Rainbow Dash and Applejack are rivals since freshman year, well actually Rainbow is the one who started the rivalry-thing because she lost to Applejack on a high school marathon race two times. She definitely hates losing.
They also get into a big fight with each other sometimes, despite of that they respect and caring about each other.
Things get complicated when Rainbow secretly has a crush on her rival, but because of her cockiness she doesn't want to admit it and accidentally hurt Applejack's feelings with her words.
Deep inside her heart, Applejack also developed a strange feeling for the rainbow-haired girl. But after hearing something that Rainbow said to her, hurt and hatred started to cloud her heart.
