Dr. Stevens sat on the corner of my bed,"Yes Mr. Morgan, you have been in a coma for three years. We're not sure if it was the accident or the surgery removing the tumor that caused the coma to last this long. Your parents told me facts of how you've always been an aggressive child growing up, and of how it got worse the older you became. Through research we believe that the tumor caused those behavior problems for you. We didn't know when you first had the accident because there was swelling around your brain. When the swelling went down, we found that tumor after giving you a cat scan. Your parents didn't want to decide, so your wife made the final decision . It's a good thing she did or your aggression would have worsened, possibly it would have made you go mad." I couldn't believe my ears, "I have a wife?"

"I'm sorry, James. The tests were positive. You have cancer," the doctor said. In that moment, I felt my entire world crumble. Everything I knew, everything I loved, I would have to say goodbye to. How was this even fair? I'm 23 years old, I haven't lived yet, haven't experienced much, and yet I was going to die. I might have just given up completely if it wasn't for her. She is the only reason I am still alive, yet she can't know of my disease. She can't know anything. I just have to pretend that everything is going to be okay before I have to say goodbye, before I run out of time.
