Amelia Kingsley starts to learn details of her life that were hidden by her mother and father who truly just want the best for her. She is forced to leave her life behind in Michigan and spend time with her Father, Arthur Kingsley. After moving to Portland she is thrown into a life that she thought was only seen in movies or folk tales. Once she learns the truth about her family and the world around her, she realizes the responsibilities and troubles that come along with it.
Amelia is faced with the knowledge of packs, mates and the dangers that threaten her new life. Will she be able to handle the lies, relationships and troubles that are linked with her new life or will she crumble under the pressure?
