A DISCREET STACCATO

Written as an assignment in a creative writing class, this story was distributed in the hallway just prior to the meeting. All students were reading it, not one of them laughed except for a Chinese exchange student there to polish her English. She was in stitches. I have thought that perhaps it was because of the regard Asian people have for the old and their ancestors. To her, Mr. Winterjeen was an old man with a twisted sense of humor doing his thing to get even. I agree. Readers, you be the judges, the star and comment bubble are on this screen :)
