The Battle of the Department of Mysteries went down in history as the day Voldemort was defeated. It changed the course of the wizarding world forever. However, the flaw with history is that is often molded through those with the most power and the biggest agendas.

Blair Baptiste; Hogwarts graduate, former Hufflepuff, and niece of the newly appointed Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt, is determined to achieve her own success by attending the first-ever magical university in the UK. Being a member of a high-profile family, the wizarding world has its eyes on the young witch. However, things get especially complicated when the secrets of her past interfere with her future.

This story takes place in an alternate universe where the events in the book/films are not entirely followed.

6 parts Ongoing

"Fred Weasley," he introduced himself as he leant back against the table, "Well, Professor Weasley now I guess." "I remember," Kate replied, her eyes suspiciously glancing back at him, "I was in the year below you, but I didn't think you would remember me." "Not remember you?" Fred questioned, his eyebrows burrowing inwards, "how could I forget the girl that saved my life?" It's been a year since Kate Mellor graduated Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and only three months since she returned to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside her old Quidditch Teammates and her best friend...Cho Chang. But now she finds herself at Hogwarts's Grand Staircase once again. Now a Healer's Associate at St Mungo's studying Psychiatry, she has been called upon by Headmistress McGonagall to provide emotional support to all the incoming students - including the returning seventh years who never got to finish their exams. She's not the only new interim professor this year, as old friends and the Weasley family have come to help up too...but will the heavy grief of students scarred in the war be too much? Or will she find solitude in her fellow Professor, who can teach her that there is more to life, and grief, than words in books?
