This story is written to represent an entirely platonic relationship but I suppose you can interpret it however you want.

You take the place of Stanley, and after four years you start to realize different ways you can communicate with the narrator. It starts with body language, than gestures, than written, and your beginning to realize maybe you and The Narrator can get along, and maybe even escape.

This was never meant to be my life. My life had been decided when I was 14. But 20 years later, it was completely undecided by circumstances I had less than no control over. So at 34, I started over, hesitantly. *Note 1: Both the narrator and "He" remain unnamed. (Y/N) thought they escaped, only to wake up at the computer of Employee 427 yet again. They make their way through the game but they begin to notice that things aren't the same this time around. It started small, a new ending, not too far out of the way. Than there was a new door and well things spiralled out of their control.

‼️(Temporarily) Discontinued‼️ This is a Stanley Parable Fanfic :D I really really wanted to do this. Of course I have like 30 million other things I need to finish but if I don't write this I'll be sad when I have writer's block and then this will never exist. All art is created by me I'm going to do my best to write as Stanley and Narrator are presented but if I mess up be patient i'll probably notice and fix it. This will follow most of the story line and player's choices and part of my own personal headcanons. There will most likely be no smut so if you came here for that- you're out of luck. Unless it's requested I won't do it. It'll be fluff, angst, and some dark themes such as suicide and depression. Continue with caution.

"Stanley, if you walk off that ledge one more time, if you kill yourself again, I will not take part in this anymore." There was a huff. "I tried to stop you but you somehow found a way around it. I refuse to try anymore." What did that mean? "Wouldn't take part"? Stanley was curious, he had to admit. And instead of asking, instead of communicating, he casted a glance at the ceiling and threw himself off the ledge for the forty-sixth time. There was a sickening thud and a large, shooting pain throughout his body before the world began to fade. "... Fine. Have it your way." Or, Stanley pushes the Narrator too far and finds himself all alone for four days. TWs will be on the first page. Stanley had been stuck here for what? years? He wanted out, and he wanted out now. Sadly, the narrator wouldn't let him leave, driving him insane. He just wanted out. He didn't care if he'd have to hurt himself or the narrator. If he got out, he got out. The narrator had been stuck here longer and when Stanley appeared, he finally had company. A friend even. Or so he thought. Plenty of times had Stanley run away or jumped off something to avoid the narrator and each time it'd reset. the narrator knew he talked a lot, but all he wanted was a friend. ------------- This is the first fanfic I've ever finished. It's not wonderful quality, but it was a passion project that I seemed to finally have the passion to finish and leave up for others to read

Stanley and The Narrator, a pair never made to last. Creator and creation. "Let's go back just once and give Stanley one more run of the office, Then I'll retire him for good." Stanley found himself desperately attempting to extend this last run of his as much as he could but ultimately couldn't escape from the end after all. The end of the parable and the end of his life chased him relentlessly. And he was going to run out of breath. He awoke one day to sand and sky and the sun gliding over him. ---------------------- This is not going to include any romance, (unless you look closely ig) BUT hear me out, this is an emotional rollercoaster through the path I'm pretty sure most players go through. Just told in a dramatic pre release au Stanley and Narrator thing. Where Stanley - a real person- had helped the narrator cover all corners of the game and create new endings. (Idk man I just moved my hands and this came out. The epilogue traumatised me. )
