Kaia Sabrino, a 16 year old girl, is deeply in love with David, her next door neighbor that lives a mile behind her vineyard backyard. Most of her day, she spends thinking about David, making up fantasies of them falling in love over and over again. But then, her father suddenly surprises her with the news that they're moving to a small town in Massachusetts, where she once visited every Summer to see her grandmother and childhood friend Luke. What will happen in this new town? Will Kaia ever fit in? Or will she never settle for less than home?

Fifteen -year-old Arienna is leaving her life in Virginia behind to move to Hawaii because of her dad's new job. Everything about the island is new and unfamiliar, but soon she finds herself caught between two surfer boys. Kai is a laid-back, confident local who seems to know the island like the back of his hand, and there's something magnetic about his carefree attitude. Then there's Cam, an adventurous newcomer with a quieter intensity, who makes Arienna feel like he's the only one who truly understands her. Each one pulls her in, offering something different-Kai with his charm and easygoing nature, and Cam with his deep, thoughtful connection to the ocean. As Arienna gets to know them both, she's faced with a tough choice: which boy will she choose, or will she decide that her future is something she has to figure out on her own?
