The Four Clans have always acted on their predatory instincts. The food chain has been structured in a way that the predator hunts the prey, so the predator can survive. A change in events ruptures when a squirrel kit is taken into ShadowClan. ShadowClan is proud and cunning, but Shadedcloud is different. Shadedcloud grows as an individual, with a tender heart. Each time his heart is preyed on, it makes him realize his world is much darker than it seems from the outside.
