Even at the edge of death, love proves to be a powerful motivator.

For nearly twenty years, Gwen and Jeremy were next door neighbors who paid little attention to each other. Both received the same devastating diagnosis of stage-four lung cancer leaving them with an uncertain future.

Gwen, a mother of three, places her faith in modern medicine, willing to do whatever it takes to fight for a future with her children. She doesn't understand Jeremy's choice to simply forego treatment and seemingly run from his problem.

When Gwen and Jeremy turned their attention towards each other they begin to appreciate what they had been missing. But time is running out on their new found love.

Led by persistent dreams, Jeremy discovers a hidden message in his grandparents bible that points him south to a small Mexican village in search of a cure. Undaunted by those urging him to stay and accept modern treatment he sets off to discover if his ancestors really do have the answers.

Jeremy sees no other way forward and chooses this unlikely path to save himself and Gwen, now the focus of his life. The journey will not be easy and success can not be guaranteed but the journey must be made.

Can this desperate attempt at chasing a cure give Gwen and Jeremy more time?

There were only two things Summer knew about Christians: that they were hypocrites, and that she wanted nothing to do with them or the God they worshiped. When she is urged to attend a support group led by a local church, the last thing she wants to do is get involved, certainly not with its parishioners. Then she meets Sebastian. A member of the church, Sebastian is a Christian in every sense of the word, with a painfully optimistic outlook on life- even though he is dying of cancer. Despite Summer's animosity towards God, she takes a liking to Sebastian and his "bizarre" Christian behavior. Though neither of them believes in love at first sight, something quickly brews between them as Sebastian makes it his life's mission to show her how a true follower of Christ is meant to be, and help her rekindle her forsaken faith. However, as his health deteriorates, they are forced to realize that it takes more than a little faith to stand against death. Sometimes, it takes a belief in miracles.
