This story takes place in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations timeline some time before Kawaki is introduced.
It's an average day in Konohagakure....
The streets are peaceful, the sky is clear, the sun is bright, and Naruto is Hokage.
Everything is fine until he finds out that Sasuke visits his brother's grave everytime he comes home. Naruto takes note of the sadness and regret Sasuke holds. After that discovery, he becomes more observant of the people around him and notices how sad they can be. Sure the citizens and shinobi have moved on and are grateful for the sacrifice of their fallen loved ones, but there is still that lingering pain in their hearts.
Naruto decides that it is his job to allow the people to say their proper goodbyes to deceased loved ones...
It doesn't go exactly as planned, but it's all okay-dattebayo!
