The year is 2095. Technology has made leaps and bounds in video games. Players can now fully immerse themselves into their video games by fully, body and mind, putting themselves into the games they love to play. The immersion system is still in Beta testing but that doesn't stop a few hopefuls from obtaining the technology.

Y/n works for the company called Teminus which are the minds behind the new game technology. Due to security breaches, the new technology had to be delayed by two years. It's up to Y/n to test it for bugs to make it safe for the public. During one of the testing phases, she ends up getting trapped in Skyrim. Will Y/n be able to escape or will she be trapped in Skyrim forever?

Esme had one big fear in life: being captured as a thief by the city's guardsmen and being executed for her crimes, and that so heavily weighed on her mind that she increased her risks by being distracted in the middle of a heist. That's when she runs into Althalos Fourthborn: Inner Circle Guardsman, one of the many princes of the realm, an Aelif (Dark Elf, local dialect)...and her betrothed by treaty. (That was something her almost human mind could not handle.) So she calls off the heist, gets demoted into a far more risky job, learns the true bitter depth of what this treaty's bond is like, and lands safely by her prince's side....sort of. There were people who still wanted to end her life, even if she was in what most people would call a Happily Ever After. That and her prince had his own living fears that were gnawing at any chance they had. That and she might just lose her mind from everyday boredom. She had helped Urgrad, her best friend and love, kill the leader, Kodlak. Soon the Companions want revenge and attack her camp. She gets drawn away and is found by a man. A man she's met a few times before. Farkas. She joins the group and they train her. Her destiny falls into place as her life is quickly changed as she falls for the werewolf named Farkas. I update frequently! The chapters start of slow but I promise they get better! The Song of Deirdre Part I by lhogue

Deirdre Morningsong returns to Skyrim seeking vengeance on the Nords who murdered her parents, only to be captured by Imperial soldiers who mistake her for a Stormcloak rebel. After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. I've only posted Part I here, but will soon post the rest (four parts total, 62 chapters). I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand. I'm hoping that writing this fanfic will be a bridge to doing more of my own fiction.
