Disclaimer: This is not to bash shifting in any way! Currently I am an attempting shifter. I just had a cool idea i thought would be interesting to turn into a short story!! If you don't wish to see shifting in a negative way (Which is what shifting is not! Shifting is extraordinary and really mf cool soo.) Then do not read this story. I am working on another Harry potter themed book with a whole original plot! I'm very excited for people of this community to see what I have coming so stay tuned!
"Shifting is an extremely tedious and dangerous act that require precision and dedication. One person living two lives can be.. detrimental. Though they are separated. Your memories are not. No matter how you attempt too, a person cannot possibly bare the weight of two lives and expect them to remain their own. You will begin to dissociate. Won't be able to tell the difference from your reality and a book."

"Ron, wait." I say walking past Fred and George and grabbing his arm. Ron whips his head back around, yanking his arm from my hand with so much force it causes me to stumble forward. "Do not touch me." Ron spits out, glaring at me, face red as he takes a step back. "Ron, can't we talk. This doesn't have to be the end of the world." I say trying to reason with him. Taking a step closer to him, but he continues to step away from me. "End of the world! Lily, you were sorted in Slytherin! Slytherin! I-i don't even know you anymore." Ron yells. Not giving me another moment he goes to the painting whispering the Gryffindor common room password and walking in, slamming the painting shut. Fred and George look between each other before going up to the door, giving me an apologetic tap on the head and muttering something about killing Ron before following him back into the Gryffindor common room. My heart shattering as the painting shuts behind them, shutting me out of their life. A/N This is the rewritten story of My Choice, I started it back in like 2022, but never finished. after learning all about writing, I have come back to it. I'm very excited to give you this new story, with new plot and a new tone. WARNINGS: This is more age accurate and time accurate. It will be more mature and unlike the book and the movies which are kid friendly. This story will NOT be kid friendly. For any trigger warnings I'll add at the beginning of a chapter or here in the description as I find them while rewriting or as they get added in. He glancing back as if saying to continue, "If he is back, I just want you to know, whatever side you are on, I'm there with you. I'm always going to be on your side." I say giving his hand a squeeze. He gives me a sad smile before stopping in the hall way and turning around pulling me close and pulling me into a kiss. I am Greek so English is not my first language so if I make any mistake please spare me. Severus is 31 in the first year of hogwarts and y/n y/l is 17/18 but the attraction between them will begin way later when y/n is in their 20s.But there is still an age gap so you have been warned!!! The story is inspired by Harry Potter , I don't own any of the characters except some of the o/c that will appear.

So I am currently writing another story with the same main character but with more backstory and with longer chapters. And a slightly different main idea. If you are interested, it is called "The American Witch In A British World". I just posted the prologue and, in my opinion, that one is much better than this one and I have more of a storyline so it has a purpose and isn't just slightly random things that my mind comes up with. AU what if Harry has a twin who was adopted to a supposed muggle family in America? What if Harry isn't even a Potter? Travel through the discovery of how this all relates to my character, Sienna Foster, with her in this story. What will happen when sienna comes to Hogwarts and is surrounded by magic constantly? ⚠A few warnings I should mention.⚠ -Some parts may make you cry (I will put a warning at the beginning of the chapter) -Someone does die in a flashback (I'm sorry I know I am terrible at descriptions.
