Surprisingly, the only people who died during the run to the Citadel were Javik and Vega. Everyone else on the Normandy crew survived. But, many are badly injured, including Shepard, who had decided to destroy the Reapers but survived the blast.

While the Citadel is being prepared, the only other available medical center is on the Normandy itself, making the crew feel strangely at home as they recuperate.

However, Shepard is taking longer to heal than expected, and her turian boyfriend, Garrus Vakarian, is determined to stay by her side til the end.
