"Do I need to wait another lifetime to be with you, love?" - Lalisa asked.

My shattered heart again is in grievance. I bit my lower lip to hold back my tears.

"Mina-unnie can you grant me to let me borrow Lalisa? I promise to bring her back to you in our next life." I said as my tears finally fell. I looked at the gorgeous lady in a distance beside me. She is smiling sadly and her eyes is shinning due to her unshed tears.

"Lalisa, can I be you lifetime in this life?" I sincerely asked with a little hope in my heart. "Please." I whispered so she won't hear me.

"Tzuyu" She said walking closer to me with her unreadable eyes. I smiled sadly and scream in pain.

A silent cry,

yeah-- a very painful cry.

Lisa gip 🌙 Epilogue The university courtyard was silent that morning, though the cherry blossoms had begun to bloom. Jennie stood beneath the old tree, her hands trembling around a folded note - the last words Lisa had left her. The handwriting was uneven, but the message was clear: "Don't cry for me, Jennie. Loving you was enough. You gave me more than the world ever did. Please, live beautifully - for the both of us." Tears blurred Jennie's vision. She had spent so long pushing Lisa away, calling her persistent, annoying, foolish - only to realize, when it was too late, that Lisa had loved her with every fragile heartbeat. A soft breeze carried the blossoms across the bench where Lisa once sat every morning, waiting with that stubborn smile Jennie used to roll her eyes at. Now she would give anything just to see it again. Her lips quivered as she whispered Lisa's name. Not in annoyance. Not in rejection. But in love - raw and aching. Yet the girl who carried poverty, illness, and hope in her fragile heart was no longer there to hear it. Jennie sank onto the bench, pressing a hand against the spot beside her, as if she could still feel Lisa sitting there. She closed her eyes and remembered - the laughter, the light in her eyes, the way she always looked at her as if she were just Jennie, not a queen. The world would keep moving. The blossoms would bloom again. Jennie Kim would remain admired, untouchable. But inside, there was only silence - because she had lost the only person who had ever truly seen her. Lalisa Manobal. The orphan. The fighter. The love of her life. And Jennie knew, with every breath she had left, she would never forget her.

"If you still want to be with me, I'll stay by your side..." Lisa firmly said, her voice steady but heavy with unspoken emotions, as if she were standing on the precipice of a life-altering decision. Jennie blinked, caught off guard. Her breath hitched in her throat, and she struggled to gather her thoughts. "H-Huh?" she stammered, a whirlwind of nerves churning inside her. "Do you still have feelings for me?" Lisa asked, her gaze piercing through Jennie with an honesty that left no room for evasion. "W-What?" "Do you still like me, Jennie?" In that moment, time seemed to stand still. Jennie's heart raced, each beat echoing in her ears like a distant drum. Fear and hope collided within her, creating a tempest of emotion. After a moment that felt like an eternity, she nodded, breathless. "Yes." Lisa held her gaze, the silence stretching between them as if the weight of their shared history hung in the air. Finally, she spoke, her tone resolute. "I regret it, Jennie..." "What do you mean?" Jennie's confusion deepened. ...I regret the time we've wasted apart... "Let's be together," Lisa declared, her voice unwavering. "I don't need you to do anything. I don't need you to promise me forever or to stand by me without fail. If the day comes when you want to leave me...when you want to walk away, then let's part ways. But right now, at this moment, let's choose to be together." After ten long years of searching and thousands of miles of being alone, it turns out... ...the only thing Lisa truly wanted was to be with Jennie. ••• This is merely an adaptation. Marry Me Anyway - JENLISA by MollyDQueen

The Promise No One Heard "I'll stand beside you, even if I'm the only one who knows I'm not supposed to." ⸻ The wedding invitations were already printed. A thousand ivory envelopes sealed with Jennie's initials. It was supposed to be the happiest weekend of her life. Lisa stood in the shadows of the hallway, watching as Jennie sat on the floor of her dressing room - veil undone, hair coming loose, face pale under the soft lights. She wasn't crying anymore. That part was over. Now, she just looked hollow. Lisa's heart had broken a hundred times for her. But tonight, it shattered in a new, final way. "I saw him," Jennie had whispered. "I went to the office to surprise him. She was on his desk." Lisa hadn't asked who she was. She didn't need to. The answer didn't matter. What mattered was the girl in front of her, breathing like her chest was cracked open. And the silence between them, full of all the things Lisa would never say. She wanted to take Jennie's hand. She wanted to say, "Choose me instead." But what she said was: "You don't have to marry him." Jennie laughed bitterly. "You think I can just disappear? After everything my family's done, after all the guests...? The papers already think we're perfect." Lisa hesitated. Then something inside her - the part that had loved Jennie for years, in shadows and silence - broke free. "Then marry me." The words fell like glass between them. Jennie blinked slowly. "What?" "You need someone," Lisa said softly. "Let it be me." And for a moment, Jennie didn't answer. She just stared - like she wasn't sure if Lisa was serious. Like maybe, deep down, part of her had always known this moment would come. "Why would you do that?" she whispered. Lisa looked away. Because if she looked into her eyes, she wouldn't survive it. "Because you don't deserve to stand alone. Not now. Not ever." That night, a new contract was signed. And Lisa became Jennie's bride.

"I'm in love with you," she whispers, her voice breaking. Jennie's face softens completely. "So much that I think it might kill me, except I don't even like you right now. I don't even know who you really are. I don't even think you do." She shrugs. "I would love to be with you but I can't, Jennie, I can't. I can be your friend, but I really think you need to figure out who you are and what you want before anything else can happen." Jennie's face falls and tears stream down her cheeks. Lisa wipes them away reverently, breath uneven at the wetness on the thumbs. "You don't want me?" Jennie chokes hopelessly. Lisa smiles and shakes her head. "It's not about what I want," she breathes. "Plus," she tries to smile. "It might not just be you that I'm getting." Post-disbandment fic.
