We're All Going To Die
In 2015, I quit my digital marketing job at Nike to take a solo road trip around the country, funded by driving for Lyft in each of the cities I stopped in. In the beginning, I thought that driving for Lyft was simply the key to supporting the trip financially. However, I soon found that the dynamic of having strangers jump into my car to talk about life for 20 minutes or so, under the context that we would probably never speak again, was the most powerful piece of my year off. I was so inspired by my passengers that I wrote a book about them, called We're All Going to Die: Lessons Learned From My Year Road Tripping As a Lyft Driver. My passengers became my biggest teachers in what, lo and behold, turned out to be a year of personal growth and self-discovery. I learned the value of more listening and less ego. I saw how hungry people are for real human connection and conversation in a world more digitally connected and emotionally isolated than ever. I took the time to face my own issues, including my father's suicide five years earlier. I began to understand how important it is to be human - to feel your emotions, to share those feelings with others, and to find lightness and humor in the hard stuff. What became most obvious to me was that at end of the day, we're all going to die anyway. This book is a story about my personal growth, supported by the stories of the many people who trusted me enough to jump into my car and open up their hearts to me.Complete
Boarding School
When Sammy's parents got divorced, she didn't mind at all, because she knew that they weren't meant to be together, and if they weren't happy with each other, then they don't have to stay together for her sake. She lived with her mom, and her dad visited regularly, when he could get away from his work; running a top class private boarding school. Her mom turns on her when her favourite person leaves town, and her life slowly starts losing meaning, and she can't think of anything that makes her happy, except being with her best friend. Then, she goes too... With nothing making her happy in her small town, she makes a life-changing decision, that she thinks will benifit her, and make her life all that she wanted. Or, it could go very wrong and be worse than staying where she is. "Dad, I want to live with you" I told him over the phone, in tears. Nothing new there. "Samantha, you know I'd love you too, but there isn't any school around this area, remember? My school is in the countryside, with nothing within a short driving dinstance" he all but rejected me. "Then can I move schools? Attend your boarding school?" He was silent, then let out a long sigh of defeat. "I'll enroll you now. Pack your things, I'll send a car in the morning for you." That was all I needed to hear, and I was thrilled. Without making noise, I danced around my room and repeatedly thanked him. Later that night, after the usual abuse, I silently packed my things when she was passed out. I hurried in doing it, and stored them at the back of my closet so she couldn't see them when she checked up on me. You're doing it, Sammy. You're finally getting out of here; away from all the bitchy girls, your mom, and old memories with Fletcher. I'm proud of you, girl...Complete

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. My Opinion on Politics, Race, and Gender Discrimination
My opinion about the 2020 situation put together in a book. While my work is mostly fictional stories, it might come as a surprise that I am very intrigued by politics and controversial topics. 2020 was a hell of a year and I felt too powerfully opinionated that I needed to express myself. Here is my rant backed up by facts about everything that is wrong in the world. If you don't agree with me, I don't want a fight. This is just my opinion and please refrain from contacting me with fiery comments. If you can't contain yourself, you'll have to debate me and emerge un victorious. Its just a book. Olivia made her decision. She was finally here. She decided to accept Jose's invitation for this one chance to show her what being with him was like. One weekend. One time. BOOK EXPERT: But as the reality of what she was doing sunk in she began to wonder if she could really do this. There were a million variables to them being together this weekend. Or in the future for that matter. She was miserable in a relationship she had been in for 20 years, while Jose had recently gotten out his own 20-year relationship. She wasn't in a space to date anyone especially not Jose. He was so kind and sensitive, that she often found herself unable to stay away from him. Even when she knew she should. Not exactly what you'd call fair, but she never wanted a mate in the first place, wasn't looking for one, so it's technically his fault for being there. Despite what he thinks he was just in the right place at the wrong time, and she was not happy about it. Not. One. Bit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The name's Darren and when I found my mate I thought we would be together within a heartbeat, that one look and we wouldn't be able to keep our hands off each other. So when I found my mate in the centre of the new darkened club on 81st Street in Manhattan, I expected her to run to me and I would wrap her in my arms forever, but I could never have been more wrong. "Woah, hold the phone! What do you think you're doing! I don't need another of you wolves coming after me cause you think I'm your mate! I'm just a DJ now leave me the fuck alone!" When she shouted that in the alleyway behind the club something in me must have snapped, because that was when I threw her over my shoulder and walked away. A Mad Woman, Allison.
Allison Monroe, a passionate college student of a Pre-Law course in University of the Philippines Diliman, come to believe that destiny no longer exists in our world. On the other hand, a happy-go-lucky guy which happened to be her classmate in college was amused by her beauty and brains. They started in not-a-very-good condition, because Allison hated Ryan the first time she have met him. It was love at first fight. As time passes by, the two has been playing with destiny, and started to fall for each other. But, it was not a good fairytale story to tell. Things has been complicated with the two of them, and the truth has started to unravel. There was familiarity in their warmth like they had met when they were younger. It's like they had loved each other at a different moment. At a different world. "Nothing changed. You were still the jerk I once knew, Jace," Allison uttered with full of sarcasticity. She couldn't believe it. She couldn't help but to laugh at herself for letting him fool her again. "I have no intention of fooling nor hurting you, I swear. Hear me out this time, Allison, please?" Ryan pleaded. "There's no point of hearing your stupid explanations, Ryan. You know I only seek for truth, and now that I know the truth, I can't let myself be fooled by you again." She turned her back at him. She never imagined that they could be played by Cupid twice. Love isn't all about happy endings. Sometimes, it could be tragic. But it may be tragically beautiful. And while Allison is slowly walking away from the place where Ryan is standing, she have thought of something she could do to save herself this time. She would do the first move to avoid pain. She would do the only thing she could do to not be hurt by the same guy again. She'd leave for good. On Allison's seat, she was watching the plane to take its flight to her Aunt's neighborhood, but she have mumbled last two words, "Fuck love."Complete
The Bullied Mate
She had tears in her eyes and was looking at me with disgust. Our eyes locked and it was like the world disappeared. It was her and me. I was to protect her with every fiber in my being and in that moment I want to cherish and comfort her and hurt whoever did this to her. Then it dawned on me. I did this. I hurt my mate. That thought alone made me want so shrivel in a ball and die. We broke eye contact when she quickly got into her car and drove away. She was my mate. A human. I had to make her love me. I have to make her forgive me. All of the hate for her washed away in that moment, that minute, that second. Disclaimer- I wrote this book when I was super naive and didn't know that the abuse written about in this book is unacceptable and not to be tolerated. Also, it's pretty bad writing. So just keep that in mind too.Complete
