"How can you say that?!" I yell at him. "It's simple Korinna. You and I will never be friends again. And you can sit there all you want and pretend that I'm the one who broke up our friendship when in reality YOU were the one. So before you judge me and hate me for doing this to you, you better first take a long hard look in the mirror at what you have become and get it through your head. I don't and will NEVER love you!" He snaps back at me. "Fuck you, Arlan!" I slap him across the face before leaving the and slamming the door behind me. Korinna and Arlan used to be the best of friends since they were five years old. Then something happened during Freshman year that made him resent her and start becoming her bully. Now as Seniors, this will be their last year of ever having to see each other and Arlan is about to inherit his parents money that he is to receive when he not only turned eighteen. His brother came back home to make sure he is doing everything he is supposed to. There's just one problem that could ruin him being set for life. He made a bet with his best friend that he couldn't make Korinna to ever trust or like him ever again enough to sleep with her. Now he has to make sure he wins and that his brother doesn't find out. Korinna is curvy is gonna turn eighteen a couple of months before graduation and she can't wait because that way she can go away to college and leave behind her life here. Everyone knows that her father died when she was little and was now living with her alcoholic step mom that hates her guts and his blowing all the money that Korinna was supposed to be getting but hasn't. After an incident that happened years before, she has shut down and tries to keep to herself as she is bullied constantly. What happens when her ex best friend asks her out and suddenly starts taking interest in her more than as a friend? His Sweet Lies
Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. She never looked at him or saw his face; she just ran out of the room crying. She was now an outcast labeled as a freak and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. She felt she had no purpose in life. Until her sophomore year when she fell in love with Liam, the guy every girl wanted; the guy every dude wanted to be. He had stolen her heart and she now wanted nothing more than to be with him. Unfortunately, Liam seemed to want nothing to do with Emma. He seemed to be straight up avoiding her. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. But as they spend more time together, feelings grow deeper, and secrets start to rise to the surface. Finding relationships is easy... Keeping them is the real game. That's what I'm learning in my first one. It's not easy. Our rival schools are an hour apart, my best friend's turning secretive, my parents are controlling, and my brother's still an ass, gearing toward winning the state championship, and still doesn't like my boyfriend, Logan. I get it, they're rivals, and I kinda feel like Logan's team might be better but this season will decide. Being the star rival quarterback's girlfriend brings big rumors and big drama, especially when elements of our pasts resurface - his jaded ex whatevers, and the secrets I thought I'd buried and moved beyond. All of this while I just want to figure out where to go for college and what for. I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
