When Winter Came

Kayleigh Wright has always believed that summer loves are just dreams that don't come true. So as she began her 17th summer in the same town as always, she assumed it would just be another 10 weeks of heat, surfing, and persecution from the "popular" girls who don't approve of her. This idea comes to a dramatic halt when, for the first time she can remember, someone new comes to stay at Wakeland beach. She is unexpectedly pulled into his world, a world much more distant than she at first thought. Though admittedly the best summer of her life, full of adventure and beauty and maybe even a little magic, like all things, it had to come to an end, and so come September, a teary eyed Kayleigh waved goodbye to Wakeland and headed off for colder weather. After months have passed, a beautiful memory arrives at her doorstep and she feels herself falling in love all over again as she remembers the perfect summer.
