Some stories are about Dixie Grayson or something weird like that, but I can assure you this is not one.
Dick Grayson was a somewhat normal boy (not girl) with a somewhat normal life, as normal as the life of ward to Bruce Wayne by day and protégé to Batman by night can get.
His evenings often consisted of the Dynamic Duo fighting crime, but who could have expected the effects that Scarecrow's latest serum would have? This can only end one way.
Disclaimer: Characters, locations, backstories, artwork, images, etc. if it's not mine then let's give a round of applause to whoever actually owns it. Starting with the fan art I used in the cover because it was a truly spectacular bit of inspiration for this story.

The silence of the night made it seem as if someone breathing too loud could make the silence shatter into a million pieces. My voice was no exception, and I was terrified that if I spoke to loud, even one word, the it would shatter, along with everything in the room. The silence seemed to make my voice feel smaller than it was, so when I finally heard his footsteps again, it shocked me to hear how loud and distinctive each one was, as if the silence broke just for him. As if he ruled the silence. It's as if he didn't even view the silence as fragile, but a force that he had to over come. Everyone was distraught when Wally had disappeared. Who wouldn't? But everyone knew that none of their grieving didn't even compare with Dick's. Wally's best friend.
