My bow is raised with an arrow between my two fingers. The end is pointed at President Snow's head. I breath slowly as I begin to release my grip on the arrow.
"Miss Everdeen, it is the things we love most that destroy us," President Snow smiles wickedly.
I release my hold on the arrow and it begins to fly towards Snow's head.
Just as the blade was inches from its target, Snow's body dissipated into thin air. In his place a new one forms.
Peeta.
"Why Katniss?" He whispered just as the arrows slices through his head.
Killing him.

All seems to finally be falling into place for Katniss and Peeta. They have two wonderful kids and a long life ahead of them.
That is until President Snow's granddaughter shows up. And she's out for revenge. She hates Katniss for starting the rebellion that killed her grandfather. She wants her to feel the pain she did.
She decides to use Peeta against Katniss the same way Snow did all those years ago.

We all know the story of the Mockingjay Rebellion. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen volunteers for her twelve year old sister for this event called The Hunger Games where twenty four children fight to the death and only one comes out as victor. A boy named Peeta Mellark was reaped alongside her. These two come out of the games as "Starcrossed Lovers". This caused a few uprisings in some districts. President Snow doesn't want another rebellion so he sends Katniss and Peeta back into the games with other Victors from each district. This causes a whole other war and this time, the districts pull out on top. The Hunger Games are ended and Snow is executed and everyone is safe again. Yeah, let's fast foward about fifty years. What if the famous Mockingjay from the hunger games never killed President coin and killed Snow instead. Katniss Everdeen is married to Peeta Melllark the love of her life and are back in district twelve. Coin kept the games and Prim is still dead. Mrs. Everdeen lives in katniss's old victor home and is a grandmother to twins. Diana Mellark and Finnick Mellark. Gale lives in district two with his own family. Haymitch is a grandfather because he married Katniss's mom after all they went through. Katniss and Peeta's kids are very different. Diana is like Katniss and has her skills with a bow and arrow and hunting. She has her father's talent with a sword, painting, and baking. Finnick on the other hand is like his aunt Prim and grandmother. He likes to take care of people. The story starts with Diana as a seventeen-year-old on the day of the reaping of the 99th hunger games. The Mellarks have a track record for being in love with their district partner. Will it happen again with one of their kids. Also Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch don't have to be mentors. I don't own the characters of the original hunger games.
