It's a few days before Thanksgiving and a snow storm blasts through the east coast, covering towns with piles of snow. In the town of Harlow, Maryland, the snow reaches as high as eight feet. And the worst part is that this storm was one no one believed was coming, so when it did hit, people were at work, at the grocery store, at the gym, at home, and even one of the most dreading places to be stuck at: school. Snowed in at Harlow High School is one of the worst places you could possibly be stuck at. Immature and crazy high school students, and angry and frightened teachers and administrators are not a place you would want to be at a time like this, but that's exactly where Melody Wolfe was. And Harlow High is exactly where her life will change - all because of a blizzard. [cover by@retrobunnie ]

It was one thing having an extended layover at the airport on a major holiday. It was another thing to have searing-hot coffee spilt all over my white shirt. And maybe it was another thing to get stuck in an elevator with an arrogant college student when the power goes out due to a snowstorm -- but all of that together was more than just a "thing". It was a bad day raised to the fourth power. #15 in Short Story on August 27th, 2017 [ Featured Book in Wattpad's "Home for the Holidays" Reading List, December 2017 ] ❤️ Completed February 23, 2020 ❤️
