Halloween. The only day people don't judge you for pretending to be someone you're not. Also, my favourite holiday. Transforming my nerdy self into a sexy, seductive assassin wasn't all that hard, but it still made me feel great. Downing several drinks of alcohol until I can barely walk, also very easy, but not very smart. So combining my new look with my new, drunk personality– Well, let's just say it gets interesting. Especially when your protective, older brother goes to the same Halloween party as you and you meet somebody you think you might really like, but then your best friend says some things about him and then hooks up with your older brother. Yeah, I suggest you read this book. It might make a bit more sense.

I never really wanted to be popular, to make people feel like shit because it was "expected" of me. I never wanted to date the "hottest" guy in school and to have the most "friends" because that was what was expected. No, I never wanted people to look at me in disgust and whisper my name as if it was a bad thing. Nor, did I want people to look up at me as if I was some sort of "Goddess" for something that even I hated doing. Why did I do it? To hide. I had to hide everything about me, the real me, and for some odd reason, I never questioned it. I never questioned why my brother thought it would be best for me to hide my looks behind a disguise, nor did I question him wanting to train me in secret. That was until he knocked me to the side as if I was important, and I figured out that I was more than the popular that dated an Alpha. I, the popular female in school, was also the Pure Alpha's Mate, and something was trying to make sure that he never knew what he was. _______________________________________ NOTE: IF YOU READ THIS BOOK ON ANY OTHER APP BESIDES WATTPAD THEN IT IS COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.
