Jungkook and Charlotte were middle school friends. Aspirations and dreams were shared between the two until Jungkook left.

"I was there Jungkook. Every damn day, I was outside that building waiting for you. I dropped by with your favorites until one day your manager came down and told me to leave and to never show up again or I'd be reported to the police."
"What?" Jungkook looks up at Charlotte unsure he's heard her correctly.
"So, don't ever fucking tell me I didn't try. Because I was there. It was you that didn't try. It was you that never looked for me. It was you that gave up." Charlotte doesn't realise she's crying now.
Years of pent-up anger and she's finally able to tell him how she felt all those years.
"I needed you too Jungkook." Charlotte's breathing is uneven and ragged.
"I needed my best friend." she's desperately wiping her tears.
