When both Hiccup and Astrid were born, their father's made a promise that when they both reached 25 and were still single and childless, they would marry.

Neither one of them want to be in this situation, but to appease their fathers they agree to the marriage. The couple decides that they would keep up the illusion for a year before getting a divorce.

However, will they ever make it that long before falling into one another's arms?
