Sixteen year old Kaloni moves from her childhood home in Serenity, California after her parents unexpectedly pass away in a tragic highway accident. She moves four-thousand miles away to the small Island of Kauai to live with her Hawaiian grandparents. While scoping out the shaved ice place, located not far from her grandparents costal home she meets Maleko, Tall with bleached sandy blond hair, mocha coloured skin and the bluest eyes she had ever seen. But as being so young, and in such a new place, she decides not to mention anything about Maleko to her grandparents. Suddenly information is found out that destroys the relationship between Kaloni and Maleko, Kaloni feels betrayed and heart broken, but little does she know that this information is the exact thing that Kai had been looking for. Kaloni finds herself on many unexpected adventures on her move to Hawaii, but she would not give up this exciting life for anything.
