Heart of Steel.

Makena is a 17 year old world wind of a country girl whose attitude is as strong as her right hook.
Her mother is a mess with a bad track record with men.
Done with moving, sick of new towns and faces Makena gives her mother an ultimatum stop finding losers settle down or move again but on your own.
Now they are living in the city trying to start over and create new lives.
That means once again Makena is the new girl at school, however this time she is in a whole new ball park when it comes to fitting in.
Trent does not know what it is about the smart mouthed self proclaimed country girl, but he is drawn to her. He likes how she stands out and up for herself and how she refuses to take no for an answer when it comes to getting to know her better. 
But when the past comes back to haunt her will Makena still refuse Trent and lose him along the way or will Trent become her rock that keeps her grounded.
