The Phantom Thieves have made their lasting mark by destroying Mementos and saving Japan, and if not, their entire world. All led by the man named "Ren Amamiya" who is well-known as "Joker", The trickster of fate. 

2020. The now-disbanded Phantom Thieves live their lives throughout the years since their prevail. With the peace they made as they near to adulthood, they move on to their next chapter of their lives. But they never lose touch of one and another.

All for it to be disturbed, as the gears of fate move once again. A new adversary who's heart cannot be stolen, forced for the Thieves to take it into reality, A returning phenomenon that has caused an alert all the way to the Velvet Room.

Yet the puppeteer, they hide with and within the shadows, watching, waiting for their strike.

The Cognition of individuals and society, with those reflecting on how they perceive the world leads to places called Palaces. A Palace is a manifestation of "distortion", strong negative or corrupt thoughts that warp the perceptions of people into a hazard for themselves and others. As such, some people can view things how they want to depending on their cognition. One person known as Suguru Kamoshida, is a teacher at Shujin Academy who views the school as his own personal kingdom. He is a lustful, vain, cruel, and utterly selfish bully who abuses his female students emotionally, physically, and sexually, even going as far as pursuing a toxic relationship with ones that he had hooked an eye on. As for the male students, he subjects them to an utterly ruthless training regimen that many of them compare to torture, and will even use as punishment if his team loses a game. As such, he is an utterly cruel and diabolical person until a group stops him known as the Phantom Thieves of Heart. Sick of the deception, hypocrisy, and corruption around them, the Phantom Thieves are devoted to "stealing" the corrupt hearts of evil adults in order to change and reform society for the better. After taking down Kamoshida, their population slowly grew more taking down one target after the next. Before long they were known as a famous group working outside of the law. The Personas they use are formed by individuals who find themselves in the Metaverse and are dealing with feelings of frustration of being wronged or taken advantage of. Each Persona is different for each member of the Phantom Thieves each passing unique and special powers. Things seem to be going well for them until a new issue occurs as it leads to a new member joining them known as the Vengenceful Thief. Who is this and what kind of Persona does he or she have? When they return to investigate, Ren is acting more and more brash and reckless, and Makoto worries it may have something to do with Arsene and Satanael's odd lack of a 3rd tier evolution. Or they thought it was a lack. When the Reaper ambushes them, it turns out that it was about to meet its match. And it was as dangerous as it was suave. It's name? Raoul. - Vanilla P5, with the 3rd Tier Personas from Royal. Slight canon divergence, because the Metaverse stays around after Yaldabaoth's fall, with mention of other palaces as well, and Joker wields twin knives, not just one. Gameplay divergence because the Reaper is an ACTUAL THREAT (like in Striker's, god the Reaper is tough in Striker's) Shumako, Other changes to the lore, like Haru works with Ren in Leblanc, Sojiro adopted Ren, Persona's can communicate with their User's in the real world, and a few other little tweaks and stuff. But I never lose sight of the real reason why I'm using them. We get closer and closer, and Ren Amamiya, the leader of the group, peaks my interest. We finally become friends, and suddenly, something changes. I must choose what side to stand on, and whether or not using the Joker and his friends is still my destiny.
