The war I didn't ask for

If there is anything I have learned over the last six years, it's that red is my favorite color. Mostly red flags, they came up hundreds of times over the six years and each time I chose to find excuses for them instead of allow them to be reasons to run. One in three women have experienced domestic violence from their partner. One. In. Three. How did I allow myself to be apart of the one in three for six years?
