They made no progress in figuring out the root to deviancy. It was your job to find out the reason for it. Aka, babysitting a drunk detective and a boring android. I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Being mute had a lot of disadvantages, the biggest being that most humans couldn't understand sign language at her workplace in the Stratford tower, so the only friends she really had were androids. An RX800 android, Brent being her best friend Then, after a supposed terrorist bombing at the Stratford tower, she is thrown into a police investigation head first, the only person with she could really communicate was an RK800 android named Connor. Throughout the investigation, however, (name) grows a strong attachment to Connor, with him treating her like an actual equal than a strange foreigner. But you rebuilt yourself, piece by piece, and carved out a new life doing what you were made for: solving crimes. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you. The one designed to find everything you're pretending not to be. And he's very good at his job. It'll take you 5 mins to read the first chapter, give it a try ;) I am very proud of this story! This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.
