Devoted to You

The Pumpkin Princess, Amber, is the daughter of Jack and Sally Skellington. She is miserable in her day to day life and feels trapped in her hometown. She desires an escape to somewhere new. The only escape she can find is diving into books given to her by her grandfather, Dr. Finklestein. She is clueless to the worlds outside of her realm, for Jack Skellington has forbidden anyone to speak of them. He does not want to lose his daughter to another realm.

Certain events lead Amber thrown into another dimension. Here, she no longer has stitches etched into her skin or the deathly glow to her skin tone. She lives among people who are not dressed to spook others, but who actually look quite normal. She also comes to know a certain boy who is kind to her, yet he is sad. Very sad. She comes to learn that he wants to take his own life.

Will she be able to convince him not to act on his thoughts?

Since Halloween is coming up, I want to make a "Nightmare Before Christmas" fanfiction but with a little bit of a spin on it. This story contains serious content.
