Cleo wants nothing more than for her entire life to be surrounded by books. Her room is covered from floor to ceiling, her backpack is covered in bookish enamel pins, and the local bookstore named, Bibliophile's Palace, is a hiring for a part-time bookseller. Cleo wants the job over anything else in the world and she is determined to get it.

Alison is spunky and hardcore, according to anyone that is around her. Her parents argue every night, her city is in shambles, and she could care less about cracking open a book, but she wants to find somewhere good.

Cleo and Alison have been life-long enemies from entirely different backgrounds, but when it comes to this job, it is the ultimate showdown. From getting the boss of Bibliophile's Palace her favorite coffee before the other to seeing who can sell more books than the other, both girls are giving everything they've got to get this job, but only one can win.

This enemies-to-lovers young adult novel, will show that not everything can be planned out and sometimes what one thinks they want is not what they need. And, some things might be better.

But this fight isn't only to save us. It's to save the generations after us and to ensure that no one ever has to live through the President's tyranny ever again. It's to give everyone a better future. Think about it." Vivian King can't remember a time when the world wasn't controlled by a tyranny. She only knows oppression and misery. But never had she seen it first hand until her parents were murdered by the Presidents henchmen. Vivian chooses to join a fight that will ultimately bring freedom or destruction to her city.
