The Monokubs lead simple lives behind the scenes of their killing game. They all care about each other, even if they don't show it. Among them is Monosuke, whose behaviour lands him into hot water. Boiling hot water reeking with a near-death experience.

His planned 'fake death' for the killing game experience goes from a fun event for the cubs, to a tragedy. He survives the impact, is hidden from his siblings, and is forced to confront what he's done leading to this point. And all of this, while the wheels of change start picking up the pace.

Monosuke is left stuck in the past, having to move towards the future. His ghosts only haunt him more, and his demons cut him down. Even laced with fear, he has to confront his inner turmoil. But... how?
