Samuel, a 14-year-old boy in 1847, meets the governor's daughter, Clara. When Clara's prized-possession is stolen they do everything they can to get it back while Samuel tries to find the money to save his little sister's life. But as feelings begin to grow between Clara and Samuel, suspicion's for the thief begin to grow.
Sofia, a 16-year-old girl in 2018, has been in the hospital for a month. When she begins to go back into her normal life while still trying to recover, it seems that her life doesn't want her there anymore. Not to mention she has a "friend" named Zane, who seems focused on finding every single way to drive her insane. She went from the top to the bottom so quickly, and she doesn't know if she can climb back up.
These two heart wrenching stories filled with love, loss, ambition, and heartbreak go through so many twists and turns. And yet, even through a 171 year difference, these stories still manage to intertwine. But will they get so interwoven that people get stuck in past or future?
