After Lan Wangji gets a missed call from an unknown number, he decides to go check out if the caller was not in need of help. Sure enough he finds a man in need, to his surprise, it is someone he had been searching for for a long time. Now he is determined to not let Wei Ying disappear from his life again.

A lot of you were asking me about a prequel and a sequel, hence the change of the chapter name. In the end, this will be a collection of one shots:
Part 1 - In a nick of time
Part 2 - Calling you from my dream (Prequel)
Part 3 - Ride home (Sequel)
Part 4 - Freedom and hapiness at last (Epilogue)

English is not my first language so I apologise in advance for any mistakes. I am also not very familiar with chinese culture, customs nor naming conventions so this work may in some places not be 100% accurate.

I do not own any characters I have used in my story, this is purely a work of fan fiction.

So in my story I want Wei Wuxian to become cold toward Lan Wangji. Ah also, since there not much story about XianWang, this will be a XianWang. Anyway....
