376 CE, Pataliputra (Patna), Imperial Capital of the Gupta Empire.

The Crown Prince of the stongest empire in the Indian subcontinent is being wedded to the fiery daughter of the governer of Pundravardhanabhukti (Bengal). At the same time, the Indo-Scythians stationed in Saurashtra (Gujarat) are eyeing the throne of the Guptas. What ensues thereafter is a story of political and personal revenge, a story of insecurity and insult, a story of warriors with and without swords. And also a story of love, which couldn't bear to stay silent anymore.

 NOTE- This story is a work of fiction set in the Classical period of Indian history (the Golden Age of India- the Gupta Empire). The plotline is inspired by Vishakhadutta's Sanskrit play 'Devichandraguptam'-and even though the text hasn't survived in its entirety, the fragmented story was enough to raise my curiousity and fuel my imagination.
