Sylvia never thought she could be alone. She never thought she could feel like running away from anything.

She had the perfect life.

But of course, anything that is perfect must cease and that happened when Sylvia arrived home from school one day to find an entire team of police had surrounding her house, and her parents, dead.

Sylvia soon finds herself in an abusive orphanage where all the children ever do is work nonstop. But with five new friends to keep her company, who could ever be lonely.

They could never stay at that orphanage though. In the thick if the night, Sylvia and her new friends Bruce, Georgie, Zest, Christina, and Hannah make their escape.

But a burning hatred lingers in Sylvia herself. And a desire to avenge her parents death's leads her into more danger than she has ever experienced before.
