Tara's home life was not ideal, but as life goes responsibly took priority over happiness. She had grown up without much. The only man she had ever known as father passing away at a young age sent her mother into a tail spin of depression and neglect. The dysfunctional home life led to a dysfunctional school life. This had taught her two things in her formative years, never trust anyone, and you have your own back. Tara left home at 18 going to college and completing a degree on a scholarship. College taught her something besides a degree, sex is the best medicine for sex. She never partied went out did anything, but she had a small stable group of people she could call upon for stress relief. At 24 she realized she hated working indoors and doing repetitive work everyday. She decided EMS was more in her interests, and she wasn't wrong she thrived under the pressure. This brings us to now. I've changed this book up a lot, and I'll try and actually do updates. I'm a mom and my life's busy.

They don't stand out like they used to. In fact if you didn't know they were there you would probably wouldn't even notice them. After I turned to water to the shower on as hot as possible without burning my skin. I step into the shower and cry. I wasn't crying over Trevor anymore. These tears were for me. For the little girl who lost her dad, for the teenager who lost her mom, and for the adult who lost herself. It felt like the water was washing all the sadness off me because after 15 minutes of crying, it stopped. The sadness was gone. I felt something in me that reminds me of the person I used to be.
