What if the multi-verse did exist and you were thrust into the past to save your life but the catch was that you crossed over from another timeline? Does this mean you are messing with time? Will you be allowed to stay or be sent back to your own timeline where your death is a guaranteed? Will you be given a chance to have a life you had so savagely taken from you or are all the paths set and can't be changed?

Let's say you had the power to save everyone you've ever cared about and more. Let's say that you could have a do-over every time you lost, every time you messed up, every time you missed something. Let's say that you could have another try anytime, but you had to die to have it. At first, you're happy about it; nothing can stop you. "Just one more time." Then, after a few times, it gets old. Your joints ache and you're tired, and no one around you knows why because you're the only one that remembers. "Just one more." Eventually, you want to give up. You know what death feels like, now, and you've experienced it far too many times than any person should. But now you know everyone by name, by eye color, by voice, by the sound they make when they drop to the floor. You can't just leave them to fend for themselves. "Just one more..." You're done. You've had it. You cry into your pillow, wondering if the curse will ever end. You've lost count of how many times you've tried again. Then you think of those people you had tried to save; they would die without you. You would have blood on your hands. So you pull yourself together and put on a smile. You pretend it's the first time, and you walk through the door like the future is ahead instead of today. And then you say, "Just one more day." "One more day."
