A Castle of Blood

Avantika is a seventeen year old who lives with her mother and little brother in their quaint little cottage, far from the mainstream folk. A quiet life with simple needs, she doesn't have to worry about the strange palace and the sounds people hear from it at night.

But everything changes one day when Avantika's mother falls fatally ill. The burden of taking care of her family now falling on her shoulders, she has no other choice than to look for a job. And what could be a better job than one at the palace itself?

But the castle isn't all that it seems. Servants rush to leave the tall towers before dark and several workers resign every week for seemingly no reason at all. And nothing can explain the odd noises and screams from the castle grounds every night.

Avantika can ignore the weird sounds and sensations, but can she escape the Prince who tails around her demanding her attention? And even harder, can she ignore his 'best friend' who seems convinced that she has a secret conspiracy against the palace? And what about the reason she came here in the first place?

It doesn't do well to dwell on dreams and forget your present self after all.
