Average cliche fantasy story in which main character rebels against evil king - Check Not so average plot twists: A beautiful, rich, smart, and (oh, did I forget to mention sarcastic?) young girl who ran away from home. (Yes, she's 13) An elf who's village got burned down and her dad's the evil king (oh and he wants her dead) Fae pirate assassin from the future wanted by the King for treason and rebellion (Turns out that the Valiyah's real) A Romeo with his own secret agenda (He wants to be the King and nothing's going to stand in his way) A peasant boy turned into a dragon rider (He's also in love with the assassin) A enchanted storybook that knows everyone's back-stories (and has a tongue sharper than a sword) A nefarious criminal who might be their only hope (yes, he's a jewel thief) A defeated kingdom which still exists (with a queen out hunting for revenge) A masquerade ball that might just kill everyone (but is their only chance to escape) Oh, and did I mention that magic's forbidden? Isn't it said that you should give away what you don't use? After losing my life, I became the Villainess in a novel I didn't even finish. That was alright; I had asked for this second chance, after all. Even if I didn't think my desperate pleas were going to be answered like this, I would not waste this chance. Living with my family was comfortable, but my ambitions were big. Still, the first thing to do was to evade the death flags. For that, I have to evade the Crown Prince at all costs. As a commoner, if he sees me and takes me as a concubine like in the original, it will be very troublesome. But what is this!? Didn't my parents tell you I was sick? Go away and enjoy the festival, and leave me alone! We don't know each other! If he is so insistent on taking me with him, then there is no other choice: I will run away from home! Mother, father, Lanto...I'm sorry. I hope your heads don't roll because of this. I sincerely enjoyed our time together. I learnt a lot from my father. Maybe becoming a wandering witch is not so bad... ... Isn't this how reincarnation stories usually go? With an obsessed male lead who suddenly shows interest in the reincarnated protagonist? But I'm completely honest when I say I will never marry or fall in love with this dude. And no, it's not just the usual 'protagonist who will later be proved wrong' talk. I will not let this become a cliche, damn it!
