He met the Avengers but still had some of the Winter Soldier left in him, he didn't want to get close with any of the Avengers besides Steve but when Steve asks Wanda to help James out they don't get along but the more they get to know each other the more he likes her more than Steve.

Evelyn had lost everything the day Hydra took her. Her friends, her family, and her freedom. She had given up hope and then The Avengers attacked the base she was at and saved her; taking her to the Tower to heal. The Avengers are determined to help the young woman heal and get a handle on her new life while helping her figure out why she was targeted. Bucky Barnes sees something in her he didn't think he'd ever see again.
