Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. Although demons can't love, what he feels for Ariel seems a lot like love. In this angel/demon romance, God is a woman and all the characters in Heaven and Hell love whoever they want.
