Percy Jackson is betrayed by everyone and cast into Tartarus by the gods. When he falls to almost the very bottom, he is greeted by a mysterious voice, who tells Percy about its own experience of being betrayed and cast out.
Adaliah Edwards is a very privileged child. Her family is rich, she lives in a mansion in Pennsylvania, and she gets everything she wants. Except love. Her parents never have time for her, and she's an only child. All her friends are other rich girls she doesn't like, and she can't make more friends because everyone at every school she goes to immediately assumes that she must be a snob. But everything changes when a strange girl approaches her at lunch, and she is thrown into a world of myths and monsters. Reeling from the discovery that one of her real parents is a Greek god, and with a cryptic prophecy to worry about....Most demigods fight for glory. Adaliah fights to survive.
