Gambier, Uncaria gambir, or gambir, is a species of plant in the genus Uncaria found in Southeast Asia, mainly Malaysia and Indonesia. It comes in Black, brown and yellowish tone in color. It is imported in India and other parts of the country. One report says that Indonesia produces 80% of the gambier in the world.

Gambier naturally refers to the moist, wet extract of the gambir leaves that are processed into a dough, and then dried to the desired shape and dryness level, moisture level. It is processed and cultivated in a traditional way in Indonesia. This gambier is mainly used for its high Catechin, Tannin, Polyphenols etc and is readily used in different industries across the world.
