Ceyda thought about her father's kind and convincing words, looking into his dark eyes, identical to hers, for any sign of dishonesty. When she saw nothing but sincerity, she nodded. She clutched her father one last time, shutting her eyes and letting tears fall onto his shoulder before climbing into the cart with the rest of the family.
