Darian has always known the same boring rigorous lifestyle as far back as he can remember: chores and odd jobs in a house isolated from the rest of the village, with only his friend Dave to keep him company. So when in the dead of the night, amidst a raid on the village, a mysterious stranger takes him along on his journey to the mystical Jhadeau, a place heard of until now only in whispered rumours, Darian has a strange feeling that his life will never be the same again. Adventure, mystery, anything but his dull life is what Darian has always longed for, but will he be able to handle it when it finally comes?
